I did a search " Hang Seng Gold " and came up with an Asian financial company Hang Seng Finance. They had gold accounts that you could open at the bank, so I was interested. They had an article about more and more people adding silver to their holdings because of ever increasing industrial uses for silver. RFID devices, which are tracking devices used by retail companies and airports to track purchases and luggage, etc. are finding more and more uses for items to have these RFID chips installed. Silver Is one of the main ingredients used in the manufacture of these chips. In short, the supply of silver is dwindling and the uses are ever increasing. Anyway, Asians are adding more and more silver to their PM portfolios every day. Until recently gold was almost exclusively the only metal in their holdings and silver is really catching on as an investment vehicle in such a heavily gold weighted population.

The fact china holds over 51% of market share of the solar industry, I can see silver doing big things, and also a few solar power companies.

Excellent point, and did not many American companies have the shot to be that 51%, but turned their nose up too it? And China moved right an said thank you. I see no wrong in coping everything they do, as I have much respect for the Asian culture and their way of thinking. Not just China, just look at how the Japanese held together in one of the worse situations their country has ever faced, in easily one of the worst natural disasters our generations has ever seen....

North American companies just could not compete in this alternative energy sector. Asia seems to be the best in the world at under cutting, even themselves at times. But the demand in solar for silver is huge. I could see this driving the price up in the near future

"demand in solar for silver is huge."

I agree with that statement 100%....

Simple math tells me with increasing population numbers, and lack of energy resources, that solar power will become more abundantly used around the world in the years to come, yet another factor pushing up the longer term industrial use....
