Are you aaking a question? Making a statement? What?

This item might be a clip, but my guess is PMD.

Hi, just wanted to know more about it.
This is the second type of "clip" 50c coin to turn up on ebay and I am still questioning them. It's so confusing, because they show coins exactly fitting in the missing edges.

I think I will have to assume that all the weird 50c coins with missing edges are probably post mint damage.

It might be a real error, but you'd need a real good close-up of the edge where the clips are to be sure it hasn't been filed down. The filing marks would show up.

life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Clips made by overlapping punches happen. Check for design flowing to the low pressure area where the metal is missing.
