Last night I turned in my unwanted pennies from a penny box I got on Friday. I figured it would give me a little excitement in the mean time until my next penny box, and boy it sure did! the first two rolls were skunks but the third one had 2 silver dimes in it! the coins, a 1946 and a 1948, are the first silver dimes I have in my collection. I was ECSTATIC to say the least!
Also, found a 1965 dime in on of the 2 penny rolls I got that day too, close but no cigar, haha!

I have been through about 100 rolls of dimes...not one silver dime. Good job!

Thanks Everyone for the congratulations, I've spent a lot of time on pennies, and then usually try exchange them of either dollars or dimes. I never got lucky before with them but I guess I did this time. I hope you all get lucky though in your searches. Searching through that many coins will pay off for you guys, I'm sure!

too bad that 65 wasnt canadian or youd have silver on your hands!
I quite enjoy being in canada and collecting canadian coins because the silver in coins lasted 4 years longer then in the states, making it a little easier to find those beautiful coins :)
I sure do enjoy the sound that a silver coin makes when it hits the counter/table...sounds like real money! I don't quite enjoy the sounds these new coins make..reminds me of scrap metal

Quote: too bad that 65 wasnt canadian or youd have silver on your hands! That could be one reason why I got a 1966 Canadian Dime in my change last year. People in the US are used to looking for 1964 or earlier.
