Nice score ! The custumers was luck because cashiers usualy dont sell coins at all . Grocery store is not a bank !

Yeah they lucked out and got a nice cashier :) I guess the lady had gone back to her car and the husband noticed the quarters and sent her back in!

I once asked a cashier at a Price Chopper for 4 quarters and she rudely told me NO!

cool find, I am still waiting for my silver quarter score. I hit one in a box every few weeks, but I want to get lucky like that one day...hopefully soon

Some young kid took them from dad's collection to buy Candy!
Boy will he be grounded when dad finds his Silver gone...

Ok... Being honest I may have taken a few Walker halfs back in the 60s to buy Candy when I was a kid $$$

lol, a few years ago my brother used his wife's silver dime stash for the vending machine at work. She still reminds him about it once in a while.

years ago, I think my grandfather found coins in his house and spent them. Probably some Buffalo nickels and some silver coins.

At least you got out with something! Maybe if I complain on here that I have yet to find a silver quarter thus far maybe I will get lucky like that!

When I retire, i'll get a job in Candy store and tell kids they get double the candy with Silver coins...
