In the item description they state that these are different mints. Unless I'm mistaken the only 40% ikes were all S mints.

I see that they aren't all, if any silver. What is the 40% in the title for? Just another ebay scam? Uninformed seller? I just don't get it?

Quote: Unless I'm mistaken the only 40% ikes were all S mints You are not mistaken. Except for a few, rare errors, all were minted in San Francisco. Quote:Just another ebay scam? Uninformed seller? I just don't get it? One, the other, or both.

Why would a reputable seller have a picture of so many coins that, you had to turn your head upside down to read? I agree with jbuck. I'm still learning. Thanks.

The good thing is that the more people come here to ask these kind of questions, the better off we are as a hobby community. Uninformed sellers become informed and buyers are learn to avoid the scammers. This is why no question is a dumb question here, even if it has been asked before.

Quote: I did Plum You rule. I noted another listing for 25 non-silver "Silver" Ikes by the same seller. I sent questions pointing out the apparent "mistake". I also reported the second one but not certain I did it correctly. If I ever get a reply, I'll let you know

...and the response from the seller: "I recently inherited some coins and have done my best to research. I appreciate the feedback and will make necessary posting adjustments"

I see this with Ikes often. They are always silsted as silver dollars when we all know that is os only certain "S" mintmarks. It just makes it harder and certainly people are being ripped off. I just wanted to point this pone out becasue of the 40%. I have never reported a listing but I will start.

It looks like bidders saw through the ignorance, the winning bid of $1.66/Ike is appropriate for CuNi Ikes.

I think the seller is playing dumb - I got the same response when I sent a question last night about the second lot of 25 they are selling and the listing is still up.
