Hello,

I'm new to this forum so hello to all! I was coin roll hunting today and came across this 1968 cent that looks odd. The "6" and "8" look larger, wider, and flatter than the "1" and the "9". Is this some type of error? Thanks in advance!

The 8 is a 0 which appeared to have been hit, hence, it's wide image

fellow Michigander to CCF. Your coin has post mint damage ( PMD). Hope you stick around and post more finds.

1968. Look at how the motto touches the rim. This is common for this year.

Coop is right. This is a 1968 cent with some substantial damage.
