1974 Kennedy Half Dollar - Bulge - Need Information

I came across this 1974 Kennedy half dollar while searching rolls of half dollars for silver coins. This particular coin has a bulge on the back of it. The front is unaffected. Is this an error coin? Is it worth anything? Thank you.

I agree, I have a quarter that I found in circulation a month back that looks a lot worse, yet same effect...

The coin was heated to a high temperature, which caused an internal separation of the clad layers.
