I check with my local dealer, he told me NGC had posted
the grades for some coins I sent in. They have been there
since early June.

The one I am most excited about is the
1998 S (silver) matte proof Kennedy half dollar.
They posted a grade of SP-70, I hope there is no
mistake because I did not expect that grade.
NGC and numismedia price guides value this coin
in SP-70 at $600.

The cool part is I purchased the coin from a CCF member.
Is was with the RFK commemorative dollar two coin set.

My dealer thinks the coins were shipped last Friday,
so I hope my coins will be here any day.

Edit - I forgot to say one of the other three coins
I sent in was the
1997 matte proof Jefferson nickel, it has a
posted grade of SP-69 ......

Congratulations, obviously a good deal. One thing I always try to remember, someone may have placed an attractive value to a certain coin, that sounds really good, but you'd still have to find a buyer that would be willing to pay the price, to actually realize that value.

Not that I plan on selling it, and if I did I do not think I could get
full value for it.

I am just excited to get such a high grade.

To me this is the key to the Kennedy half dollar series.
It has the lowest mintage, was only sold in the 1998 Commemorative set, I think the mintage is 66,000
but will have to check
