In my book any Canadian silver dollar is worth hanging onto, I myself will hold onto a beat up one because as time goes by they will become harder and harder to find. Take the 1966 silver dollar, as already stated it has two varieties, and as already stated the small bead is worth alot more but more to the point is the fact that the quantity issued is included with the large beaded variety for a combined total of only 9.9 million copies, which in the grand scheme of things is not many, and dont forget in 1967 141,741 were returned to the melting pot at the mint.
Your basic 1966 silver dollar has a book value of $15.00 in EF-40 condition and remember in the case of the markets verses silver, "what goes up, will come down", its what is called your law of averages..

I agree with, neweden, I save every silver dollar I come across whether they are beat up or not.
