It has been some time since I've seen one sell, I think about ten years and it was somewhere in the $700 - $1000 range. How many were made? probably quite a few since the roller press had I believe a couple hundred dies and was capable of striking 10,000 coins a minute The question is how many got out? I found a sale of one variety of them by Heritage in Aug 2008, for $5,175

It think I heard the GM roller press cost a lot of money to build and it worker to well so it was scraped.

Probably required to much maintenance.

Does anyone have a pic of one of the tokens?

Hope my question is ok.
Rest in Peace

Heritage currently has two in an upcoming auction in Pittsburgh. They are in the pattern section.

The problem with the roller press was excessive die breakage and the fact that the press spent more time being down having dies changed than it spent up and running. Whenever a die broke it had to be shut down because it wasn't it would make tons of defective coins. Once it was stopped you would have to check out the hundreds of dies to find the broken one, change it. Then you might have another die break shortly after you restarted it and then you had to go through the whole process all over again.
