Er, wow. I have seen some crazy stuff in my time, but this takes the cake. 2 million pennies, that is what, $20,000? Nice little profit there for the seller, and a biiiiig risk for the buyer. Each coin would have to be sold for a nickel to turn a profit. Not gonna happen.

Wow thats a lot of coins-but Ricardo's probably right. They came from individual lots of wheats that this guy searched and then put together.

The ridiculous size of the lot combined with the bad grammer and spelling make me wonder if they're all fakes.

Hey man, at least the guy is offering to pay for shipping!
Me, first I would dump them all into one big pile, put on my swim trunks, and dive in!

So much for a volume discount. Not a very good deal IMO.

LOLOLOL
I saw this guy post on another forum. He showed hundreds of boxes he bought and still had not opened to dump into his trash cans. He also showed pics of a HUGE stack of boxes he had opened. Most of it was accumulated by buying bulk cents on the internet. Sadly, he wasted his money to amass this huge hoard and he'll never recover his costs. The project was just plain foolish IMO.
He wants 27 cents each....I doubt anyone will go for that. Unfortunately for him, he's going to have to break those up into smaller lots and most buyers will max out at 5 cents each for bulk wheats. The reality of his mistake will soon hit him and his wallet.

Quote: When I saw the title to this thread, I thought it was murrellington letting all of us roll searchers know his website is finally up! I just showed my wife that post and she laughed. I said "see, I'm not the only one who really want's the site up". lol. Thanks for helping me convince her. ;)

Also, don't you think that giant lot should have at least a key date or two, just from the volume. I'd think there would be a couple 1931 s, and at least one 1914 d. What do you guys think?
