Battle of Quebec (1775)
Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold led a force of about 1,200 American army forces and Canadian militia in a multi-pronged attack on the city, which, due to bad weather and bad timing, did not start well, and ended with Montgomery dead, Arnold wounded, and Daniel Morgan and more than 400 men captured.
... but if you meant "where did that magazine drawing come from?" ... then my answer is => probably from some old book, magazine, or Reader's digest? (included with the collection to give the collector a snap-shot of history) ... it's kinda cool

Hmm, it didnt come from a book or magazine as it is made of silk, I must admit it has me stumped.

yah, it is very interesting ... and it has the number "37" on it, like it was number 37 in a collection of some kind ... maybe it's kinda like an antique hockey card? ... maybe all of the kids during the Victorian era would hang-out in the schoolyards and trade silk battle cards ... got 'em, need 'em, got 'em ... hey wow, look what Lancelot found => he found a number 37! => a rookie dead Richard Montgomery card ... cool!

I'm sorry, neweden, but I actually did search for quite some time last night, but I could not find anymore leads into your search/investigation
... but it's really too bad, for I became quite jealous that you had that really cool piece of silk, that was obviously something that was kinda "catchy" at that time, but unfortunately didn't get recorded ...
=> I honestky hope that you find the answer, for I'm sure that even if it doesn't end-up being lucrative, it'll end-up being ultra-cool discovering a fact from the past, right?
Ummm, I'll give ya $10 for that piece of silk ...

Its a silk. there are different series of them depicting various topics. I believe they are quite old and came in tobbacco possibly. there are collectors for these especially in the states. not sure what its worth however.

Nice detective work oih82w8....
I like it. A little bit history, itself contained on a piece of history...
