Kinda like The Godfather Part II only without all the pasta. The Spirit Of Giving was a lot of fun, and ended successfully without much in the way of carnage. So, I devised another little bit of fun for your spare time. Tomorrow, I will be giving away another fine little item from Whytlash's World O' Coins! Continuing with the silver quarter theme (dontcha just love shiny silver quarters?!?) the next giveaway will require just a tad more effort and interaction on your part. You will be required to give ME something. Not just a post asking "Did I Win?" or "Pick Me!", or even "Me First?". And the rules are kinda the same. You can't be the recipient of the 45S quarter or the 64 Proof quarter, and you can't already have one. Don't worry, all it requires is for you to give me a piece of information that I will ask for. It's not arcane, or heavily disguised. It's right out in the open and easily obtained. And it is something known to many of us, and most, if not everyone, is at least aware of it.  The giveaway will commence at 8 pm FORUM TIME tomorrow, Sept 3. I will make a post in this thread at precisely 8 pm with the instructions for the tiny bit of information I wish you to provide. The first person to provide that information in a post in this thread will get something!  The something? A pristine 1962 Proof Washington Quarter.  I fully expect the lucky recipient will be able to provide the information in a couple of minutes, tops. Maybe less if you're pretty sharp! Maybe three if you stop for coffee. An interesting contest, and I still applaud your motivation. However, I'll only participate if you can promise there won't be the same kind of personal attacks associated with Spirit of Giving I, i.e, responsible adults, time displacement, references to Einstein and beer bellies...  |
