Well now I've seen everything with this unsearched roll scam. Check this one out, a quarter eagle on one side and a dime on the other lol. It doesn't get any more obviously seeded than this. Who in their right mind would put that thing up on ebay if they actually found it at a bank or estate sale lol

I'd bid $200 for one of those rolls.

Amazing that he has one of those auctions ending each day. whoever made those rolls in the early 1900's must have been going blind :) I wonder how long it will be until we see platinum proof 1/10 oz coins, still in capsules at the end of a roll of unsearched wheat pennies.

Ahhhh...it's probably a fake gold coin. Jez, $485 down the tubes to a roll-seed scammer. People are just plain dumb.

E-Bay should really be stepping in and doing something about this, on the hand, the laissez faire capitalist in me says "a fool and his money are soon parted"

I agree. These auctions of this sort are getting way out of hand We really should start reporting these auctions to ebay. Enough is enough.

This seller has a few dozen of such rolls--what an amazing coincidence!

Lot's of rolls with a gold coin ender. I bet NOBODY gets a roll with a gold coin stuck in the middle somewhere. And this guy sells awesome stuff. In the description, his rolls have pretty much yielded every key date imaginable. I doubt it, unless it was an ender and fetched more money than the coin itself was worth.

Folks if you have a low grade key date coin, and want to sell it for 150% of it's vale, just stick it on the end of a wheat roll and you will get mad money for that roll.

They are, they are collecting final value fees as long as people are willing to bid it up and buy the stuff.

ebay looks the other way, certainly these sort of listings have been reported and complained about to ebay thousands of times but they only want the money. They are guilty as the sellers IMO.

That sums it up right there. As the old saying goes "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

There is no other way to explain those auctions other than salted rolls.

I can't believe how many "unsearched" rolls are like that - like the seller ever walked into a bank and got that!

I think it's funny how sometimes there is a coin on the end that has a hole in it, and the coin right behind it is gold. And they have several just like that. I mean what are the odds.

I give him credit for his sales tactics. It seems to be a good gimmick. One of his buyers paid $400 and left 100% Feed Back w/ "Can't wait to see the roll Great Ebayer"
With a gold coin on the end, wouldn't you wait to see if the coin is real! Can you imagine kicking your self in the Ask, because you already left positive feedback. lol Theirs so many less than happy people who still gave him 100%...Amazing. And Its funny how they dance around negative feed back,..ie "Unsearched?"....Hello! "No s no d 8ih all corroded" "Is this really worth the $$$".....come on! Let people know whats really going on here. Gives me an idea for another topic.

No returns yet lots of bidders. Feedbacks could be from people he knows you know. Sure is odd he found so many similar error rolls.
