I was wondering how often NCLT is found in circulation.
I saw a post saying to keep an eye out for NCLT and thought that the chances of finding anything in circulation would be very small, however I found 2 NCLT dollar coins recently. I also saw another post where someone found a proof 20 cent in circulation.
Was I just lucky, or are NCLT coins in circlation more than I expected?
How often would you expect to find NCLT in change?

Unfortunately I would suggest that the majority of these coins found in circulation would be there as a result of theft, kids or whoever steel them & pull them out of their packaging so they can spend them without suspicion,a dollar is a dollar to a shop no matter what they have on them.

Absolutely correct. The majority of my coins came from clubs and casinos. The rest came from rolls, with only a very few through the till.

You watch the parents at the shows and the Mint Gallery. They buy them for their kids, who are fascinated for about 5 minutes. It doesn't take long for the $1 to eventually make it into circulation.

I know it is circulated but just a couple of weeks ago my girlfriend got a 1993 'Landcare' in really good condition for my collection.
Around the same time I found a 1986 'Year of Peace' in the same condition, and not too much before that I found a 2003 'Korea' 'S' back in change.
I have only been looking activly for this last year and am hooked now.
They are out there and a few years back when coin show coins were more evenly priced to circulated ones I used to put them back into the wild.
Now thinking back I wished I kept a few because now they are the empty spots in my album...

Hi Yass,
That is an amazing list!
How many coins would you have looked through to find all of those?

I have looked through thousands. My friend, whom I bought a lot from, has searched through hundreds of thousands.
