PR 64 plus!

I like the way her belly button shows through her gown.

Not the expert you called for, but I agree with TyoeMaster. As good as any I have ever seen unless you like colored toning. Where did you find it?

OK, I've toweled off and can consider this coin without involuntary physical reactions now.

PR65, and one heckuva strike even for a proof. What is the mark between the eagle's right wing and UNITED?

I have no idea, this was another picture my sister sent me to look at but I told her that from my experience there was just no way in the world I could accept a gift that this coin would have to cost when I was unable to do anything for her. So that is when she sent me the pictures of the Barber dime and bust half to see if they were acceptable, and even though I still think she may have spent a little to much it was more acceptable that this proof Seated Liberty dollar that had to be close to $1000.00.

Is it just me or do the pictures look like scans of pictires from a publication ?

Is your sister using a coin dealer for these coins ?

she is using a very prominent dealer who is well known in the business so they may be scans of the coin but its definately of the coin they have on hand and not one from a magazine or anything. I will post links to the coin in question after she makes up her mind, because she said she may layaway this coin and buy the other two

Oh I love the seated liberty but I just don't want her to spend that much money on a coin for a present. She has already decided to get the Barber dime and the bust half but she is undecided about laying this one away. As soon as she tells me either way I will give you all the link to the coin and I can tell you it is way less than the price quoted above and maybe someone else may want to add it to their collection. I kind of hope she does lay it away and then I can help pay for it (since my birthday is very close to Christmas)because its a beautiful coin that I would never be able to afford otherwise
