Experience tells me Walkers are loosely graded. I'm going to call this one 64; I can't see any rub in the usual areas, so MS it is. Looks like a nice strike.

Thanks Dave.My guess was MS63-MS64,but I just don't know enough about them to be sure.I cannot find any wear or even hits on the coin except a few contact marks on her leg.

Gezzz,I just went to Heritage and looked at the graded MS65 & MS66 1944 Walking Libertys and from what I can tell, this ones strike is stronger and its just as clean when it comes to hits as they are.
Maybe I should think about getting it graded.

Do you plan on selling it? It's only about a $40 coin in MS64, so consider the total you'll have invested in the coin before choosing to have it slabbed. If you're going to keep it, I can't think of any reason to have it slabbed at all.

I'm not planning on keeping it.Just bought it for ebay fodder and the price was right. but if it might go MS65 or 66 then it might be worth having it graded.

MS 64.

Be careful. The grading on Walkers are strict when it comes to hits and ticks on the thigh and down the leg. PCGS may even go a 63.
