I am looking to buy this coin but I am very skeptical about if its a die crack... and if its a double die on the S in Pluribus, as he claims it is. please help me on this. Thank you

It is neither a die crack nor a doubled die. That coin has a lamination which is caused by a flaw in the metal stock alloy. It is fairly common to find on wheaties and only has a premium if it is more dramatic, such as a large portion of the coin peeling away.

Thank you very much. That just proved my skepticism right. So this coin is not worth the buy?

I would not pay more for this coin than for any other common circulated Wheat cent of the same date and mintmark.

What is the date and Mint mark on that coin? If it is a common date and mint, not worth purchasing. If it is a key date, such as a 14D or 09S, might be a consideration if the price is right. However, if a dealer claims one letter is a double die, you may want to just laugh and walk away.

Its a 1944( no mint mark/P). Nothing special. I was more looking into buying for the die crack if it was a die crack.

Die cracks are recessed on the die so they will always be raised on the resultant coin.

also if you want to be PC (politically correct), the term is doubled die - and not really double die.

I would add that die cracks are fairly common on wheat cents and you can probably find one in a cheap lot or in a dealer's bargain bin if you're willing to hunt. If you feel like bank roll hunting for wheat cents you could find one that way too. Here's a nice die crack I found on a new cent while roll searching: And here's one I got entirely by accident when getting a cheap Mercury dime out of a local shop's bargain box:
