Larry good eye as always, I think the liberty is just too dark to see the die markers within the "T"...His picture shows the 3 with crap all over it so when its blown up its of no help, how ever with the known fakes photos, the 3 does not appear to be altered from the 1898 coin..it does appear to be a "slant date", "like" the
VAM 1 photo's show but not stated as such....
BOTTOM LINE is for the $50 bucks to make it a genuine acceptable is WORTH FAR MORE that the probable $3 grand to buy it.....get it into a slab before you buy it...you will sleep better.....One NOTE of importance...submitting it now means its not in a FAKE HOLDER....
I do hope you didn't buy it yet!
