I just recently purchased a medal that was marked 10 K. I know this isn't worth much at all but still only paid .50 cents for it. I'm probably looking at a value of 10-15 dollars in gold.

.50? That's excellent! 10k is 734./oz. or 23./gr.

That is a really cool piece. I think that you could get way more than melt on ebay as people collect things with those vintage kewpie kids on them. Really a nice find.

Yea, that might be worth more as a collectible than at melt.

Those "kewpie kids" have been used so many times....it's easy to forget the original is almost 500 years old. If you're curious, look up the Sistine Madonna by Raphael. Excepting the enamel putti, it appears solid 10K

Well done. I look every time I go to one but never seem find anything but copper or silver. I'm heading to Tampa for the winter this year and I hear there's a lot of yard and garage sales there. Maybe my success rate will increase.
