Strange 2011 D Penny Color Help. - Coin Community Forum

vwall New Member United States 14 Posts	Posted 09/11/2011 8:33 pm I came across this penny in my coin dish and it struck me as odd. I found another one to compare to and cant figure out why a reg penny is very brassy colored and this one I have is reddish and purplish in color. I dont think its been heated up or chemically treated. Any help or ideas please.. Pictures below. Thanks for the help! Report this Post to the Staff

I have some other coins that are indeed anomalies I will want to post and see what you all think they are worth. Sadly, after many years I am forced to sell many of these off...
