First off I have owned the
ANA grading standards for a very short time. I have been around coins and collecting for a long time. But, I have just now started to get a little more serious about grading, since it is a very important part of the hobby. I am trying to learn the hobby, that is the only reason I am saying anything about grade.
My opinion as to grade will be worth exactly the amount you payed for it, ZERO. I think it will grade higher than some might think due to "modern" grading standards being a little easier. Not saying there is anything wrong with it. The standard has changed.
From what I read, my opinion is grade
VAM 4 (Hot Lips) VF20 and could be VF30. Feathers show clear separation on the right wing, some individual strands of hair show above the ear, etc, etc...many things I read from the "book" are clear on this coin to be VF30.
But, I can only go by what the book says. I do not have vast years of experience to go by. I can't pull it off the "cuff". So my grade is from what I think the book is saying.
