Circa 1979, a Russian guy with the clothes on his back, less than $100, and very little English vocabulary came to the you SofA. Today, he's a multimillionaire with around 23 pawn shops.

He has a fairly open policy. He'll only buy or lend if he figures he can triple his money.

Maybe that's why you rarely see a two-three store coin chain, but pawn shop chains are common.

Was $46 a rip? I'm guessing that was the top buyer. The seller, just like the yard sale seller, didn't do the homework.

she only offered me $2.78 dollars. That was a bit of a joke offer there.

Could have been a decimal shift.

Naw 2.78 was all she would offer me for the silver coins. No decimal shift. I was thinking I would get around 75 dollars for the necklace but 46 was way lower than what I thought. Youre right I need to do more homework before selling next time. I just needed the money as soon as possible. To make matters worse I went to a jeweler today and asked what they would of gave me for 3.2 grams of 14k they said $90.

Now accepting students at the School of Hard Knocks. Credits unquestionably transferable to any other conventional or Interweb school. Tuition costs are quite high, but you don't have to pay back any student loans.
