Maybe the seller will get in trouble with the Fed because copy was not applied to the coin.
Big coin may have been a misleading description.
Is it to late to bid.

COPY is not required, the Hobby Protection Act has an exemption for oversized novelty replicas. I believe that a replica needs to have 3x the diameter of an original coin to be exempt. Remember the oversized " State Quarters" being sold by National Collectors Mint and other mass-marketers? They could legally sell exact copies without COPY due to the size of them. That is also the reason why we have oversized National Parks bullion now, they got beat at their own game with the Mint now creating oversized coins as well. Replicas would have to be the size of a frisbee to be exempt now

Several years ago there was a gas station near me and in the store section they had an entire series of those large coins. One of each of the most expensive ones in the series. You could get any one with a fill up of 10 gallons or more, one to a customer, free. If you wanted to buy more, $1/each. I bought the about 10 of them. The Merc Dime and the Walking Liberty half look the best. Eventually gave all away to kids. Latest on that one is $100 and 14 bids. Wonder what company made those and do they still make them. I think originally for drink coasters.

I know they still sell the 1877 IHC and 1916 SLQ in a gift shop in Reno. I have seen them there recently. They even have a 1918/7-D BN. I have no idea who makes them but they have general knowledge on the keys. Probably the Chinese :o

Wait, wasn't the bid at over $100? How is it under $40 now?
