I've not used them as I thought their prices would be high but having just had a look they seem to have a lot of very reasonable sellers.

If ebay carry on the way they are going V coins could be an alternative, certainly for ancient buyers and sellers.

Just wondering. What is that blob under AVG in the Philippi coin? Encrustation of some sort?

In comparing to my own coins, I would say its encrustation.

I was going to post one of them for the Guess the Price contest, but considering I revealed their internet location where someone can find them and see the price, I might as well say how much I paid: $16.50 for the Spanish provincial, and $6 for the Philippi. How did I do?

Also, what composition are they? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm still kind of a noob when it comes to ancients.

The prices were good enough - I'm not sure what you mean by composition so I'm interested to see what others have to say too.

If I understand your question correctly, both coins are bronze or a bronze alloy called Orichalcum. Most likely bronze.
