Ok, so I know a guy that owns a cash for gold style place, through a rapport built over the last year I can usually get very good deals on coins. So in the last lot I bought I received this coin for 80% of spot. It weighs approximately 1.9 oz and he says it is .999 though I'm not sure how he knows it if .999 fine. I have never had to call anything he has sold me into question so I'm sure it is silver. My question is what in the heck is it? I have post the best pictures I could take with my Iphone. I put the ASE in the picture for size comparison. Thank you for the help.

Any marks are on the plastic sleeve which appears to be its original case. I'm sorry for the extremely poor photos I guess I really need a scanner or something.

We've seen these medals before, here and here. They were issued to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the death of King Faisal.

One of the posters in the old threads was from Saudi Arabia, and reported that the ones with the "925" mark on the reverse (clearly visible in this pic) are non-official copies. I can't see this mark on yours, so I would assume this is an official government-issued medal - though I'm not sure what fineness the genuine ones were issued at; perhaps they are .925 fine (sterling silver) as well.

It is .925, and I believe I found one on ebay. Here is the link if you are interested.
