I'm working up a spread sheet on my Type Set and would appreciate any help on grade and/or variety of this 1810 Classic Head Large Cent. It was tough to find and even tougher for me to grade. Thanks! Paleoguy

S-282 R2. VF Details.
Obv:"T" low and leans slightly to left. Second "1" is low. Rev: Point of highest leaf under right side of "S".

Nice coin!

...definitely a nice VF, tough to net it not in hand, but ... and I obviously could be wrong, but it looks like a 283 to me. It's pretty tough to tell them apart. Good pictures, but the light may be playing tricks on me.

paleoguy - Per Noyes S283 has "a rather heavy dot just below the fork". Also "seen with rim crumbling over star 8". "R & Y" on obverse tend to be weak. I think Ryan may be right.

Yeah... and the T doesn't seem *THAT* tipped to the left, just a little. IF it's a 283, it's R1 versus R2

Anyway, it would probably be good for a pro to look at it. Either way, this is a very nice and valuable coin in this excellent condition!

Maybe this will help our own "PROS" a little?

The new pic has me back to S-282. "T" looks to be leaning more to left. I don't see the blob or dot on the "Y".
That is a sweet coin!

Here is one pulled from Heritage.
