At first glance, it looks like a 19-M, R.5+. Which is cool, but an R5 grading VG at $1600? I don't get it... what am I missing?

I'm with you Ryan. Other than what looks like a straight clip, I don't get it.
There have been 3" coaster "coins" selling on ebay lately for over $100...go figure.

Okay, as long as I'm not nuts. This is a $300 coin, with two crazy collectors that need it for their Fugio type collection maybe taking it to over $600.

Dave #1 (verm) I know you're collecting Fugios by type - you and like at least two other people in the whole world, so you must be one of the four nutty bidders that has to have a 19-M for your clipped Fugio type collection. Dave #2 (Super) are you into Fugios?

Weird.

Sold for close to $2200. Either it's an R8 variety and I missed it or two somebodies decided it was worth MS money. Strange indeed.

Nope, no bids from me. My top bid for that guy would have been $250-275. Looks cleaned too.
I am with Super. I just saw 3" round 1877 IHC coasters go for over $100. We should be in the novelty coin biz!

It looks to me like the underbidder has 15% activity coincidence with this seller. What strikes me curious is that, while bidding mostly on coins, this underbidder has been active with watches and metalware, too. draw your own conclusions ... Having been fairly active on ebay myself for a number of years, I come no where near that percentage with any single seller.

ExoGuy - becoming more commonplace, eh? And of course ebay isn't going to chase them off, it just means more money for them/PayPal.
