I'd love to see a pic of "My Lucky Penny" #23 on the list. I love Bingo and the 4 leaf clover is the symbol for 4-H. My daughter belongs to 4-H. Thank you, everyone's kindness here is beyond belief! LeAnn

Janknez - I keep mine in a binder with the rest of my 'non-coins'. You can get 2x2 cardboard holders for these - they are an oval shaped window. I've picked them up at a coin show, but I've seen them on ebay also. Then you can put them in a 20 pocket page and put them in a three ring binder. I write on the 2x2 where they came from and the month/year that I got them. Usually they are from a family trip somewhere or a vacation. My kids like to go through them and it reminds them of the trip. I used to really hate those things, but when I realized I could get a souvineer for $.51 I got into them. I've probably got over a hundred. I carry around a pill bottle of pre 1982 pennies with me just for anytime I might run into a machine.

Thanks, Karrlot. I have since decided to put them in flips. I cut them in half (the flips, not the cents) and stand them up in a little coin box. It keeps them from rubbing together, which is the point.
That's a good idea -- having copper pennies to squish. Think I'll put together a little stash for the car.

quote: If any of you serious collecters of these want one from the Walker Minn general store, I will be up there in June and would gladly make some if requested. Let me know as June gets closer with what year penny and how many if you're interested.
cpfull, I hadn't seen this thread before, but that is a nice offer. Since I enjoy playing with the gizmo of the machines, I might just make a few when I come across any machine and offer them up, here. I see a dynamic collecting area in which members here could assist each other. I have a buncha these, having bought up lots on ebay. I just enjoy looking at them, and for me that's what it's all about. quote: that is a great link to all of the machines Thank you
Scoutjim, I musta missed it and/or I don't see it. Whazzat?

Yes I admit that I make them most places I go. The coolest ones I have are a "See Rock City" one and one "minted in Dahlonega. Can I get a premium for the Dahlonega penny.
Seriously, Is there a book or folder made especially for these. I guess a 2X2 sheet could hold them.

I collect them when I go visiting places, but I'm not real serious, either. Since I live in Hawaii, I have a number of the ones available here. I just got one last month from Crater of Diamonds Park in Arkansas. Nope, I wasn't lucky enough to find a diamond.

Hi all, I am fairly new to this forum (I just have joined yesterday) but I wanted to let you know that we also collect elongated coins (I mainly from San Francisco since this is where we live but my daughter loves magical and holiday related pennies the most).
