I don't think so. It looks sheered off imo. If it were a real clip, there would be stretched out lettering and details moving towards the clip.

I agree, the edge looks like it was cut or ground. A real clip would probably have a flatter rim in that area, and would show "flow" toward the hole. You should also see flattening or weakness in the rim directly opposite the clip on most real clips.
