I spent most of the day cataloguing Chinese paper for ebay today at work. Not my strong point but it's getting good money.

This note caught my eye.

I have identified this as a P329. We have about 100 but I noticed this one has no prefix letters while all the others had two.

Is it a replacement note? If not what is it? Any idea as to value would be appreciated as well.
A P329 lists at a whopping $4 in CU.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm considering adding this note to my collection.

Thanks,

Clembo

I've had a trawl through the internet but didn't come up with anything regarding the serial numbers or replacements. Perhaps it's just a very early first print run? Although they are dated 1930 they were not put into circulation until 1942 but then inflation reared its ugly head and higher denominations started to be issued very quickly.
Sorry I can't help any more but I did notice that some of the banknote selling companies are charging a lot more.

Good guess thai-vic as I found out more on another forum.
Your logic was correct. These notes started with no prefix at all. They progressed to a one letter prefix then two.

Seems it's not rare but still think I'll add it to my limited World note collection.
