While I was in Indiana transferred for a job I was working on a set of Kennedy half dollars. When I came back home to Michigan I lost track of where the set was. For more than a year I looked and looked but no luck. In the meantime I bought another Dansco album and started another set. The other night I was moving some things around in my workshop and grabbed a plastic bag (heavy), set it aside and gave it no thought. I turned on Nascar and while watching I started to wonder what heavy item was in the bag. Yee Ha and smiles. Found my lost set. Total of 88 coins in 2 Dansco's. Now I have two partial sets but this sounds like a good problem.
Rest in Peace

There is an old scientific theory about things that vanish such as those Albums. It appears there are numerous Universes side by side. Everything anyone does creates a Universe and if that same person would have, could have or might have done different, then too there is that Universe. When you drop something that vanishes, put something down somewhere and it vanishes, it slid into an adjoining Universe. For balance, something from there pops into ours.
These items are unstable in this system so eventually, those same two objects replace each other.
This theory explains why so many socks vanish in an electric type clothing dryer. Static Electricity manifests a temporary opening between some of those Universes. As everyone knows, evertually one day in a new load of laundry, that missing sock reappears.
IF, when your Albums vanished, you would have looked carefully, you would probably have seen something that didn't belong. IT replaced your Albums.

It's a problem I wouldn't mind having.

Interesting prospective. I never thought of that one. Yes in one of those alternating Universes you are the winner of a lottery worth millions. Just picture your counter part, in that alternate universe, at a coin show buying up entire tables of coins.

Heh heh, Carl, in my "alternate" universe, I'm Warren Buffett doing exactly that!

I have an old penny collection ( with a 1909 S-VDB and FE and some nice IHCs ) lost somewhere in my parents house, or possibly mine even. I know it is there somewhere - either hidden behind some books or under something. I think it is in an old small safe that I can't locate either. Haven't seen it in 20 years, but I know it wasn't tossed. Looking forward to the day I uncover it!
