About 6 week ago I went to a bank in Gurley Alabama it is a country bank that has a lot of good rolls of coins that coinstar has not found. as I was waiting in line a man that was much older than I ,I am past 55 so he set 6-8 rolls of coins on the counter and I see 2 rolls of penny in old NCR wrappers.
when it was my turn I ask the teller if she had any Kennedy half dollars, she said no so I ask for the 2 rolls that the man had just cashed in so she gave them to me. the rolls had about 35-40 1982 coppers and a lot more Au-Bu 70s-80s cent in them.

this 1982 is one of them.
I have look for this type error all the web sites I can think of so I posted here for some help

Ah very cool, I had a thread on this type of coin. Its called it the jailhouse cent, as you can see some of the reverse's pillars clashed on the front behind the head, and in front of it. Check out my other post in this section ('A part of my collection') to learn more.

thats exactly what it is, the obverse and reverse dies clashed together without a planchet in between them and the impressions of the other die got on the other one and when it mints other coins it has the markings of the other die on the obverse or reverse of the coin (allot of times its on both sides)

Oh man believe me I have done it many of times, every time I think I see something I post it for a second opinion, even if I am 100% sure what I am seeing is correct. I have been found wrong sometimes and been found correct others but you can bet your bottom dollar that if I happen to see something on another coin I will ask again

Amac, that is one super cool coin.
Abe looks like He has a Babylonian beard extension.

Madhandles and Bryan,
Thank you for your explanation of Die Clashes and the result on a coin. I had the wrong idea of what a die clash was. I learnt a lot from reading this thread. Excellent!
