Require information about a coin or momento with a red indian face facing left (liberty head band) with United States of America 1898 on one side and engraved four symbols (well, flower, horsehoe, plier like object) on the other side, wt 250 gms approx. and made of bronze. Diameter 7.8 cm approx. ?

I want to know what exactly it is and it's origin with its current value?

Possibly some kind of good luck piece. On the reverse you have a four leaf clover, a horseshoe, a chicken wishbone and what I take to be a well.
All of these have been considered to be "lucky" at some time or other. Apart from that, your guess is as good as mine.

Interesting...it's like they merged the face on the Buffalo nickel with the Indian Head cent.
Obviously a "good luck" coin, if not quite a pocket piece.

There probably isn't an established value on this--it's more of a curio than a historic object.
Judging how close the profile is to the Buffalo nickel, I believe it was made sometime after WWI, probably in the 1930s-40s--not 1898.
Anything earlier would use a different style of type in the legends and LIBERTY.
Rest in Peace

You might find the information you want on a site about tokens and/or medallions.

Good luck.

You are looking for very specific answers to questions about a rather obscure item. This is not a US Mint product nor is it a coin, it is a privately produced novelty medallion so there really isn't a catalog value for it. Without any type of markings, determining the manufacturer will be difficult to impossible to determine. There is also the very real possibility that the date is a complete fantasy and it is of a more recent vintage.

Right--it says 1898, but the overall construction and aesthetics point to a later time, like US Depression era (1929-41).
It would be like someone today making a copy of India Mughal art--without closely following the artistic style of that era.
The difference would be obvious, as it is with this "lucky charm".

, mathur!

Obviously some sort of good luck piece, but at three inches, too big for a pocket piece.

Is it really heavy enough to be bronze, or just plated zinc?

My educated guess, since they obviously struck a bunch from dies, is that they were part of a magic trick, easy enough to see from a few feet.
