I couldn't help it. I have been eyeing this coin for a while now and I finally decided to get it. There was some scratches on the plastic capsule, but the crystal is beautiful. I am going to curse myself with it because I keep handling it and holding it up to a light. I already almost dropped it.

Much more of a collector's piece (if you like it), than an investment piece. Rather better to buy these on the numismatic aftermarket than new, and after the price has stabilised after original sale.

The main question to be asked in the right conditions is then 'Do I want it?'

People buy new cars knowing full well that the greatest percentage price drop is in the first three years after purchase.

There are a good deals to found in NCLT, and there's nothing wrong with collecting a nice piece regardless of purchase price

Beautiful coin Lithanial, I have been eying the blue penguin version for a while now but never made it the plunge

They are all minted by Pobjoy Mint.

The frog is from the British Virgin Islands
The Penguin is from South Georgia and South Sandwhich Islands
The Lion is from the Republic of Sierra Leone
The Turtle is from British Indian Ocean Territory

The Turtle is the award winning one, but the Penguin is the first one. I got the frog because I love the deep green look in its case and the glowing green when held up to a light. 22g of sterling silver.

I have been doing my due diligence in studying these coins. I just couldn't pass up the deep green color crystal. If the turtle/penguin is still available during the holiday season, I will plea for one as a gift. I have enough of the RCM's crystal elements.
