I bought a box of nickels on Friday, I opened them up, and they are all new 2010 rolls. I figure I will keep them, at least for a little while.

Any opinions?

Go through them with a high power loupe, and keep the two best ones. Keep two rolls also. Bit of a bind, but it may well prove well worth the effort later on.

That's speculation with zero risk, except for your time.

I'd leave them sealed and hang on to them.

I've gotten so many of those boxes that I just sell them on ebay now. Or if I am too lazy to do that I just go dump them.

Hi Eagle 79,

I'd check the mintage figures and keep a few rolls at least. You can always dump them late if you change our mind.

If they were 2009's I would keep them...but 2010's are worth 5 cents apiece.

That's what I was gonna say...

Doesn't hurt to keep a roll or two for future albums or trading or something.....but that's the only value here.
The mintages/demand certainly DON'T warrant keeping them.

Solid date BU roll boxes sell for a premium. Sell the box on ebay, take the profit and buy another box to search.

Thanks again guys for the advice, I appreciate it. I might pop the box on ebay and see what happens, but I also like the idea of holding on to a few rolls.

I'd just open them all, look for any errors, put them all in bag and take to the bank.

I'd open all the T/T and look for errors and MS+. I'd then keep a couple of H/T and dispose of the rest.
