Check it out - I typically stay away from these holders because I have a hard time detecting cleaned/dipped coins, but this one looks legit.

It's much better than most NNC coins, that's for sure. I can't believe this guy is a top rated seller.

It does look better than some of the other coins that NNC has certified. I don't really see anything that would lead me to believe that it is cleaned but the grade they gave it is still incorrect. I don't think this coin is MS and would probably grade closer to AU-55.

Looks like there might be a bit of wear on the reverse....breast and legs of eagle, but then again it could just be a weak strike...tough to tell without it in hand.

I heard that NNC is just a service that some dealer set up to grade his coins in order to inflate the price. does anyone know more about this or if it's true, etc?

I've seen some NNC coins that were listed as MS but XF was more appropriate.

It looks nice, but not $265.00 worth of nice.

Weak strikes is common in some places on the Peace dollar, as we all know. Also the bag marks on face are in a prime focal area that distract to me. There is one bag on the face looks deep. There are also several other bag marks in key focal areas that look deep.

The obverse looks like possible wear on some high spots, the E on PEACE looks like wear and not just weak strike. A lot of bag marks. Yes, I know they were in 1000 coin bags. This one got a lot of bag marks in my opinion.

I am not familiar with NNC. From the pictures, I would pass and look for something better and less expensive.

Yes, I did the research a while back. The owner of NNC and the ebay seller "Centsles" (who first sold NNC holders)--are the same person. NNC was one of the reasons ebay now prohibits basement slabbers from showing the grade--I wonder how this one slipped by?

You can't list the grade of fourth party graders in the title. You can in the description.

Am I the only one who thinks the 3 of the date looks weird?

The 3, 9 and 4 look like doubling or the same die as this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1934-D-Peac...885159427631
