I set out tonight to see if I could find a small motto 1864 2 cent piece for cheap. I picked this one up for 17.69 shipped.

It's probably a coin that nobody wants in low grade, but at the price, I won't mind getting "stuck" with it.

The other day I set out with the idea of finding a 1934 Washington quarter DDO for cheap, and got one for under 10 dollars. There's anoher on ebay right now for less than 12 bucks.

I know it wouldn't slab in a problem free holder, but I'm not a slab kind of guy anyway.

Yep, she's been around the block a few times. Has an honest look to it though. I've wanted one for awhile, so this one will have to suffice for now.

I hate to burst your bubble but that is definitely not a Small Motto coin. Small Motto variety had a rounded opening in D of GOD and the T of TRUST abuts the ribbon fold, not to mention the physical size difference between the two.

You're correct ........ I'm still in the hunt. I was just about to post the correction, but since you already did, all I can say is oops. There seems to be 3 sizes if you ask me. One really large lettering, the small motto has letters that appear wider than they are tall ... and this one's somewhere in between.
