so I went to the coin shop in hopes of finishing off my franklin dansco (only needed 52-p, 53-p, s) and picking up some BU grade roosies for my other dansco.

i had $50 to burn and thought this goal was attainable. when I got there, they were flat out of roosies and the only frankie they had was a BU 53-s.

the owners wife helped me go with plan B which was to upgrade a few things from my 7070.

in my immature opinion, I thought, I got $50, I better get as much as I can...

she steered my in the other direction of " why dont you upgrade 1 or 2 NICE ones, that way I wont be making money off you twice.

it made sense, if I upgraded some of my ag-g4's and some holed coins, for vg-f examples, I would be upgrading THOSE ones later on anyway!

so this made sense. I would take my $50 and get 1 or 2 coins in way better grades.

i ended up with:

1883 NO Cents in AU ($12.50)
1913 TYPE 1 Buffalo in AU/MS.. amazing color!($22.50)
and the 53-s frankie in MS60+ ($22.50)

so for $56, one less franklin and my nickel page in my dansco looks a whole lot sexier!

pics to come later!

Nice pickups. Can't wait to see pics, but those are coins that are perfect for typesets -- you can find examples of those years with good details for reasonable prices, and I think those prices are great. (in my opinion both nickels were under priced)

Good prices on those coins!

One of the things I really like about the 7070 is that there are a number of slots that can be filled with really nice coins for $10 or $20.

And my favorite characteristic of the 7070 is that the mylar strips are not superglued in, so ANY coin is subject to upgrade!
