is this a collection gained from circulation, or from buying them?

Hard enough to find ANY silver Rosie from circulation these days...... Congrats ! ..... I parted with my "junk silver" quality ones awhile back, and switched to Proofs and high MS grades for my Dansco. But it was a painful tearful parting, I must say ....... Though the "West Point" minted Rosie is my favorite one ! (and you can't find that one from circulation which you'll need when you get your Dansco !) You can't JUST do the "Silver" Rosies to be complete now can you ? ......

Thats pretty nice for ciculation, I've only gotten 3 from circulation. I finished my Roosevelt dimes last year, but I bought a close to completed set for $20 at the bar from someone. All I had to overpay for was the 49s.

I'm working on this set as well. I bought a dansco album used at a coin show for 10 dollars or something. It doesn't have the last page in it though. I think it only goes to 2004 or something. Anyways I have worked on my set from circulation for 3 years and have all but 13 silver coins. A very very fun task. I have a roll and a half of extras, not to mention the mercs I have found. Dime searching has become my favorite searching. Gonna get a new dansco soon and I think start another set with my extras, thats how much I love searching dimes

I remember buying complete whitman rosie folders '46-64 off ebay, for under $50, as little as 2 years ago. How things have changed.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

It sucks, I thought about buying a bunch of silver coins last year when things were still "cheap" but at the time I thought it was high...

I've just got to show this post to someone I know. He is a Silver Roosevelt person completely. He actually only collects Roosevelt dimes and his Silver ones are bragged about to real excess. And all are purchased, not found. I just got to show him this.

If you are looking for good albums to replace your folders I have seen that many coin shows have most any common type album available from people selling their collections. I got a Franklin half Dansco in great shape for $2. They had boxes of albums available. Not to mention you get to look at lots of coins too!

Good luck on your nearing completion of your silver Rosies. I'm just starting them and have managed to get 13 so far. Reading how some bought complete and near complete sets for $20 and $50 just a couple years ago makes me ..... *groan*. Those of us just starting out have to deal with the price of silver and not just for the love of the coin.
