Just picked these up. Worked out to 84C per coin. I was mainly looking at the center coin, a supposed 1900 which appears to have some mint luster. The seller described it as (redish). Some of the lot looks like there might be some coins with corrosion, then there is a possibility of a 08-S or 09-S...wishful thinking
We'll see. Just hope he ships them half way decently...not all banging around in a bag

Let us know when you get the coins! Hoping you got a nice red coin there, instead of some replated or buffed garbage. hope you got an s mint in there too! Good luck!

That's a good bet--most look above culls or problem coins.
Color looks good on most. Who knows--there might be some varieties too.

I sure hope the best for you. Seems a deal with no real down side. Decent indians at under a buck is not bad these days. Looks like some pretty meaty ones in that group.

I'd be really disappointed if 46 IHC's weren't worth at least $39, so I think you'll do just fine!

sounds like a great price to me - especially with the pair of 1863's. Is that shiny one cleaned to heck or MS?

For that price including shipping costs, your paying less than $1 each. If all are in only F-4 grade and common dates, that is still less than half of what they normally sell for at coin shows. I would think you could almost sell them for a profit to even a coin store. Nice buy.

Not sure robbudo?
I hope it's original!

Thanks just carl! Yeah, I figured a shop would let 46 go for $60-65.
Man I hope I see an S on one of the four.

I think you made a good buy overall since you're paying less than $1/coin. I just said this in another post a while back, but you should always look at the sellers other items. If it looks like it's someones grandmother selling old things you might get all kinds of treasures. Anyone selling coins frequently or exclusively always knows exactly what they have and won't make an error. This guy sold other numismatic items so I wouldn't expect a BU coin or an S-mint to be sitting in there.

I do look at the other items that sellers are selling, and this guy was no exception. He had 3 coins up for auction along with the ones I won. It was his use of numismatic terms in describing his items that I keyed in on.

This was for a proof Kennedy half he is selling:

You are biding on the coin in the picture.

It is still enclosed in the jacket as shown.

I do not grade coins.

Unknown, if ever in cirulation

Never heard of anyone calling a holder a jacket or not knowing whether a proof has ever been in circulation.
I know the 1900 will not be BU but, if it's an AU, I will be happy. We just have to wait and see until the coins arrive.

Here is what worried me. I received an email stating that my item was shipped. Then, 6 minutes later, another email from Paypal stating the seller has cancelled the shipment due to label not printing
....hope he is not scamming me.

Well that description does sound foolish, but nonetheless, I recall the guy had multiple listings for generally accurately described pieces up for sale. Most people who bothered to identify a coin at all probably looked up some price on it. Non-collectors think all Indian Head cents are worth a lot, so they would try to look em up. I think this guy knew exactly what he was doing, he just didn't put much effort into his description.

The only ones where I think you could get lucky are when you see a seller sell "a jar of old Indian Head cents" from their father or grandfather along with other items including clothes, books, etc.....nothing related to coin collecting.
