Generally, I have found nothing but overpriced junk. Most of the time, the people selling are not dealers, just weekenders trying to make a buck.
But, occasionally, there is a gem in the junk.
Nothing rare, but I bought a nice, hard chocolate brown, 1910 Lincoln Wheat...for 2 bucks. Nice, problem free, with hints of red under the dark chocolate, in an easy 62 grade.

I've bought silver, but few coins at them. I think gun shows are awesome. Good place to go to stock up on ammo too.

LOL! Hey, nice score on the 1910! That's a tougher coin than most think.

I too have found almost anything possible at gun shows. So just why do we not have guns at coin shows?

I bring extra cash when I go to gun shows for things just like that. Just so I dont have to decide between a gun or a coin. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

There's at least one at every show I go to.

At some gunshows though, a coin/bullion show might turn up. At the Colorado Springs gun show I went to this spring, there were no less than three coin dealers and a couple privateers. Two of the dealers had quality items at fair prices, same with the privateers.

I've bought some nice coins at gun shows, There's a coin dealer who shows up at evry gun show in my area. I was able to get some good deals on some Franklin halves. but that was a fluke I think. As far as guns go I'd rather buy them at Dunhams. Most dealers at the shows seem to want more than retail and don't seem to want to haggle much. Best place to buy ammo though.

Gun shows are very frequent here in SA. I've watched what sells frequently, not counting the high powered stuff, Morgan dollars, bullion, Nazi coins, and Georgia Statehood Quarters enclosed in plastic holders depicting the Confederate flag. This is an observation over the course of a number of shows. AND never bring up the subject of Government.

Much like coin shows, you never know what will turn up at a gun show. Even at today's higher firearms prices, there's usually a good deal or two around.
