MS-63 perhaps 64 it would be easier if the pic were bigger to be more precise. I cant tell for sure about the color, it is either BR or RB Its a very pretty coin ,, I'm kinda hoping some of the grainyness is due to the photo.

Rick,Thats what I was thinking also but I don't know alot about the cent coinage. It was described as BR in color.I will try to take better pics when I receive it.all the pictures this seller takes are somewhat grainy and its a pretty small subject to begin with.

Beautiful coin! I would think MS-63 would be a fair grade. LIBERTY is very crisp and all details look good. Value could be up to $25 to $30. If it is BR, value surely will go up.

these things are always hard for me to grade but I like your pictures better than the sellers. From your pictures I would have to agree that its a very strong AU58- MS-61 coin and I am only basing that by judging it from my 1909 that was graded MS-63 by anacs that I have in my Dansco because these are so hard for me to try and grade

They are hard to grade for me also, and them being so dang small dosn't help. The coin is actually a darker BR color.Heres the true color.I believe the coin is in the MS range, looking at it in hand.

I'm nowheres with Indian Heads, so I won't hazard a guess, but I'm darned if I can see any wear on it. The hair just behind the eye, and just above the 7, draws my eye but those might be strike-dependent areas.

MS-63 BR it would have been 64 if not for the ding on the cheek and field just in front of the neck dress, both very drawing focal points for these coins.
These coins are notorious for weak strikes especially through the center details of the obverse as well as the feather ends and ribbon/Diamonds .. those are the high points of the obverse.
The reverse are the wreath and Ribbon and arrow heads all of which look UNC to me.
The rim of the coin still shows sharpness on both obverse and reverse, a very good sign of being UNC,, since these coins actually had rims high enough to protect the devices for a time in circulation.

I can sypathise with the size issue,, If not for my loop and the ability to take a pic and make it the size of my monitor many of the coins I collect would become very difficult to grade.
Merc's, lincolns and Roosevelts are all looking a bit small these days .

Too bad. No time left to rent on the Hubble. Too many ebay sellers are using it to take their auction pics, from orbit.
