OK, I need help grading my 1922 Venus Fly Trap. Actually its one of the best struck Peace dollars I have ever had with almost proof like fields. You can even see the reflection of the window where I took the pic, over the "1" in 1922. I can't figure out how this one escaped the mint. Anyway what do you think?

Wow. It's very rare that I actually get to see a Flyt....um, Peace dollar that's "obviously Mint State," but this is definitely one. Kinda chattery and marked on the lower obverse devices.....63 maybe?

Dave,
Those chatter marks look much worse in pic than in hand.almost like light rub marks.I have and have had many Peace dollars but this is by far the best yet.I guess my $12 was well spent. Also the one ray on the reverse seems to follow thru the eagles breast. Its light but its there.

Silver Dollar,
Thanks and I agree with your grade also.

You would think it would be by snipe but he had them for a "Buy it now" deal for two 1922 Peace dollars for $24.00. the other one is BU. I was suprised when I received them because the sellers pictures didn't show the luster on the coin at all.

I like the coin as a 63, a couple less marks on the neck and chin and in the fields and this would be a 66 . Very nice Peace dollar for $12
Rest in Peace

Interesting in that on the Main Forum I just posted how I had found my silver dollars after all these years. Two of them are 1922, and look very similar to the one posted here. However, TLS5933's coin looks a little better.

Gary,The one I posted here is somewhat rare in the fact most Peace dollars have little luster. most BU dollars are like the one below at best.
