It could also be a Doubled Die (although its unlikely) Can you tell if the Serifs on the 7 and 2 are separated? I'm not an expert but with a clearer picture of the date you would get a definitive answer. Report this Post to the Staff

hesgut Pillar of the Community 1028 Posts	Posted 09/29/2011 5:29 pm The 72DD was fairly bold.....maybe not quite like the 55, but it would already be obvious in pictures this size. It's certainly not the "valuable" 72DD. There might be some slight doubling in that date, I can't really tell, but if there was the coin still wouldn't be worth much as it's not the die pair that made the real 72DD Report this Post to the Staff
