I know this could go under the JFK roll searchers thread, but alot gets lost in there. I wanted to share this one!
Got as box of halves yesterday and this is what I pulled:
11 %40ers
4 beautifully toned 1964s
3 Franklins (53D, 53D, 53S)
1938 Walker in GREAT shape. Yes, I checked for the D mintmark...
Also found a 1972 proof and a counterstamp, which I save.
Strange thing about the box was that in all this, I also found about 15 full rolls of UNC 1985P Kennedys. Shiny.
I will see if I can figure out how to post pics, mainly to get your thoughts on my Walker.

Hondo, we both must have hit the same load. We got very similar results yesterdy including the 85 BUs. Check the JFK roll post for what we got.

I don't search half dollar rolls, but I frequently do nickels, and sometimes cents, dimes or quarters. I never ever get these super boxes. I don't get it. Is it just at certain banks, is it geographical location.

CONGRADULATIONS. However it's people like you finding all those that makes it really tuff for me finding anything. I suggest you put them all back to the bank so I can find them.  OR you could just send them to me to save the trip to the bank.  Nice find on those. |

smokeriderdon, that is too strange. just out of curiosity, where are you located? awesome haul you had!
glad everyone is enjoying the finds! it really was a blast opening the rolls and I cant wait for the next one... it will most likely be stuffed full of chuck e cheese tokens.

AWESOME! Congratulations on your sweet finds. I have a box coming next week, cross your fingers for me... even though we are stealing eachothers silver, seems like we can both enjoy this while it lasts!
