I want to collect the complete sets of Sagagawea and ASE coins. Do you think that you must have the Millennium coins to make each of these sets complete? My personal view is that you should have them, but wanted to know what the expierenced SACA & ASE collectors do. Most definitely, my set of ASE will certainly be minus the 95-W and the SACA will be minus the 2 special coins of the year 2000.Thanks for your thoughts. Berry

Hi Berry The Sacky set I would consider complete with the MS coins by date and MM,,and the Proof coins,, the varieties would be a bonus but in my opinion not required to have a complete set. The ASE's on the other hand would not be complete without the W MM coins. Rick

Berry, I've got a complete set of uncirculated and proof Sacagawea dollars, and have them housed in a Dansco 8183 Album - they look good. The overall cost wasn't all that much for the complete set; however, the 2001-S will probably cost you the most. Oh, I would point out - I don't have one of the 2000-P Goodacre Sacagaweas, but, as far as I'm concerned, my set is complete. As for my ASE collection - I've got a complete set of uncirculated in high MS, and most of the proof coins of the series (missing the '93, '94, and '95 Proofs). I housed these in a Dansco 8181 Album. Also, I would point out that the ASEs will cost quite a bit more than the Sacagaweas. I don't have the '95-W Anniversary issue, and, on my income, I doubt I ever will, but, in my opinion, when I've completed the 8181 album, my set will be complete. Just my Two Cents worth. Ralph

Berry, The dansco 7181 silver american eagle album does not have a place for the 95-w anniversary coin. So it is my opinion you do not need it however you should have the 2006-w eagle in your set. There is no place for it in the album but it is a must for this set.

Metalman, Ralph and Bruce1947, thanks much for your input. I am going to get a couple of Dansco Albums and start collecting away, thanks again. I do want to collect two sets of each of them though, one raw coins and one set of slab coins. Of course, money is always a concern, but over a period of time with trading and buying I should be able to do it.

I recently completed my Sacagawea set, in a Dansco Album. All high quality, and including the proofs. I don't have the "special" coins but consider my set complete.

The Goodacre coin is the only one I think. I'm happy for her that she is making a million dollars on her special coins, but I don't see the need to add one to my collection, even if I could afford it.

Scoutjim - the 2007 RedBook, in addition to the Goodacre, also lists a 2000P "Boldly Detailed Tail Feathers", but, the Dansco 8183 doesn't have a space for either of these coins, so I'm satisfied that my set is complete (for now). Ralph

The Cheerios Sacky and the Goodacre burnished finish are the two "extras"
