Hi, still kind of new to the forums on Coin Community, so hello to all!

Below are 2 1857 Flying Eagles I have, I'm curious what you think about grading, or if my pictures are just not good enough.

Thanks!

[Each coin has shot(s) of obverse followed by reverse for same coin]

Hi, I am just learning about grading so I will take a shot at this but you should wait to hear from the experts.

The first coin looks AU to me and the second one looks VF. That first coin is really something.

I only have one flying eagle and you can barely tell what it is. Poor little thing is quite worn down but I love it.

MS-62 and VF-30. This discussion came up recently in another thread where there some debate over if the missing feathers is the strike or wear. On this coin I'd say it's the strike, but it's not a super great piece, so I went low end MS with the 62.

One my favorite designs. No expert here but will take a shot.

XF-40 for first one. Looks like there might be some wear on tip of right ring as well, or could be lighting.

VG details for second.

Nice coins.

XF40 and VF25.
The second one was clashed with a Seated Half!
(Snow-9)

I notice that right away! If you got that one unattributed--lucky you!

AU 55 for the first and f-12 for the second.

I may boost the first coin up even higher with a better look at the reverse ( it looks like a lot of wear near the C and E), the obverse looks exceptional.

Your 1857 Snow-9 is a sought-after variety, with a premium about 4X of a normal 1857.

Just another comment about the Snow attribution on the second one. A very nice problem free F example.
