I see that the prestige sets were made from 1983 until 1997 (sans the 1985) and the Legacy sets were made only four years, 2005-2008. Is that correct, or are the Legacy sets still offered yearly? Thanks for any info -

No more "Legacy Sets" are offered by the Mint anymore. The last one was in '08....

I liked them....but for the most part, those last few years really didn't ever hold much value....lucky to get "issue price" for them.
They had the Proof Pres. dollars....which aren't a big deal.
They had the two Silver Commem's in Proof.
Then that years Proof coins
.
All in a really large "book" storage folder thing.
But apparantly since they offered all of these items seperately, (heavily overproduced), there was no point in buying a Legacy Set at all really......hence....they're GONE now !
(If they'd have had a coin or coins in there that you couldn't have bought seperately, these would have been NICE.... REALLY nice to own !)(But of course, the Mint does not operate that way...)

There is an 2009 Lincoln Coin & Chronicles Set that was offered that year of 2009. It's pretty sharp ! I have two of them.
It's not a "Prestige Set" or a "legacy Set", in that it doesn't have the years Proof coins in it....but it does have the Proof Lincoln Commem., and the four Copper Proof Cents. Probably about as close as you can get to one of those other Sets though (sort of).

Here's a pic/link of this Set...... http://lincolncoinchroniclesset.com/

Thanks for the info - I knew there was a reason I got that year in individually slabbed proof coins. Checking ebay to see what of them are available, appreciate the lead.

They all list for about $100 or a little more - about double the mint price.

I have several of those and sort of glad they stopped making them. They take up to much room for what they are.
They are in a box somewhere and I haven't looked at them since I got them.
