This looks to me more like a medal, no ? I don't see any denomination on this coin.

Right, a medal - it commemorates the opening of the first part of the S-Bahn tunnel in Hamburg. (Many German cities have an U-Bahn - subway/métro - for connections in the city, and an S-Bahn - interurban/RER style - for connections to neighboring cities or suburbs.) More info in English is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburg_City_S-Bahn So the building (top part) in the first image is the main train station in Hamburg, and the ship refers to the Landungsbrücken, the other end of that first S-Bahn connection, close to the Elbe river.

The piece also commemorates 10 years of the HVV, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hambur...kehrsverbund On the other side you see the seals/logos of the city and state of Hamburg, and of the Bundesbahn which today is part of Deutsche Bahn. Guess that these two also issued the medal. Sorry, no idea about the composition, issue volume or value ...

This dealer currently sells it as part of a five medal pack, and wants €11.90 for the set:
